Is it actually comfortable to sleep on the floor?

Yes — but it feels different from a western
mattress. The first 1-2 nights your body
adjusts. By night 3, most people notice
they wake up lighter, with less stiffness.
It's not about comfort in the traditional
sense — it's about support. The floor
doesn't sink. Your spine stays aligned
all night.
Is it good for back pain?

This is the #1 reason people switch to
floor sleeping. A firm surface keeps your
spine in a neutral position — something
a soft western mattress simply cannot do.

Will it work on carpet? Or does it need to go on a hard floor?

It works on both. On hard floors like

My flat is small. Is it really that different from just having a bed?

2 hours maximum. It arrives compressed
and vacuum-sealed. Remove it from the
packaging, unroll it, and it expands
to full shape within 2 hours.

Is it suitable for side sleepers?

Yes — though it takes a few nights
to adjust if you're used to a soft
mattress. Side sleepers often find
that after the adjustment period,
they have significantly less hip and
shoulder pain. The 4-inch thickness
provides enough cushioning for side
sleeping while maintaining the firm
support your spine needs.
Is it safe for children and babies to sleep on?

Yes. The cotton surface is skin-friendly
and free from harsh chemicals. Many
parents use the NORU futon as a safe

soft enough to protect against falls,

children during sleep.
How do I clean it?

The cotton surface wipes clean easily
for small spills. For a deeper clean,
we recommend spot cleaning with a
damp cloth and mild detergent.
Air dry completely before rolling up.
If you have the removable cover —
simply unzip, machine wash at 40°C,
and zip back on. Easy.
